New Sketchbook

I am liking this sketchbook so far, so I'm going to post everything I've got!







I've been drawing a lot from Fred Moore because he's one of my favorite animators of all time and I love his pin-up sketches. You can find a bunch of his work HERE!

Old Sketchbook

Time to retire an old sketchbook. I'll share a couple more pages from it before I throw it in the pile.

Here is a drawing of Magoo drawing. People have interesting expressions when they draw. To the right of Magoo are some fat-necked dudes and a mean-looking lady.

More watercolor studies. I'm finding my colors come out cooler in temperature on the cheap Xerox paper in my sketchbook. But it's still a lot of fun to do, so I won't let that stop me. :)

Happy Halloween

Now with COLOR!

I know I don't have much work in color here; mostly because I'm a sissy. But lately I've been playing with watercolors in my sketchbook at work. Here's what I've done so far.

Co-Workatures

Here are some examples of the quick sketches I do for proms and parties. My models are my co-workers at Disneyland/California Adventure and, of course, my beautiful girlfriend Marie.

Work Sketches

So I'm still working at Disneyland, but at least it keeps me drawing. Here are some sketches I've made when work was slow.

These a some quick dog sketches. I like dogs. Well... most dogs. I won't name the dogs I don't like in case they're reading my blog.

Animation from "Little Samurai"

Here's a glimpse of some of the animation in my film. April Wang inbetweened Noriko's puzzled head turn. Holy living crap! Deadline is coming up too fast! Wish me luck!

Oldies

These are some old character explorations of Gorobei and Noriko from my "Little Samurai" project. The first two pages of drawings are over two years old! The characters have evolved since then. I will post the more recent model sheets next, so stay tuned, imaginary fans!
